6th grader presents a U.S. Flag gifted to Sutter Creek Elementary School from the U.S. Army

Liam Lyons, a 6th grader, presented a flag to Principal Snider at Sutter Creek Elementary School on June 4th at their last assembly for the year. His Uncle COL Kyle McClelland flew a flag while deployed in Afghanistan for the school. Liam was so very proud to be part of something so big. Principal Snider was moved when Liam read the certificate to the school that said:

Headquarters , International Security Assistance Force-Afghanistan (ISAF)
This flag was flown in Kabul , Afghanistan in honor of: Sutter Creek Elementary School during Operation Enduring Freedom on the 15th of January 2014.
This flag represents the will and resolve of the American people to protect those who cannot protect themselves and to stand strong and defeat all who attempt to bring us harm.
Remember Freedom is not Free

Signed
COL Kyle McClelland
